Overall, the biggest proportion was observed in people’s spending on goods and services, specifically clothing and electronic items, in both years. Meanwhile, others were also essential shopping.
Turning to details, in 1998 clothing accounted for 12 percentage of total expense, clothing share increased by 4 per cent (18), but the leading role was electronic goods, rising up to 4 per cent -20 in 2008. What about eating out, it was popular shopping in both years without shifting.
Conversely, holiday, magazines and going to the cinema lost their popularity in people’s expenditures. People spent more money on holiday, making up 8 % before; however, its figure decreased to 5%. Investing money in newspapers and magazines and going to the cinema showed the same percentage in both years, surprisingly decreasing to 1 per cent in 2008.
