The given bar chart provides data on the percentage of individual’s spending on different commodities and services in Europe over a spand of 50 years, from 1958 to 2008.
Overall, there are some sectors that faced big differences and others faced small ones.
In 1598, the percentage of food was the most common sector of total responses, making up for 32%, wile luxury good accounted for only 7%. The housing came in second at 22%, followed by clothing at 18%. Moreover, entertainment and travel accounted for 13% and 8%, respectively.
Followed by 2008, there were significant changes in most parts. Housing experienced a significant rise to 32%, whereas food saw a dramatic deacrise to 12%. Additionally , the luxury goods came to the second compared to the previous percentage in 1598, accounting for 17% in 2008. By contrast, entertainment part was the lowest spending declined from 135 in 1958 to 6% after 5 decades, while travel sector deacresed dramaticlly to 6% in 2008. Lastly, clothing remained relatively stable, making up 12%.
