The bar charts depict comparisons regarding population pyramids of India and France in 1984
Overall, it is clear that there is a disparity in terms of population distribution between two nations. While the age levels were distributed evenly in France, by contrast, India had a fairly young population.
Looking into the information in more detail, whereas the majority of India’s population were under the age of 20, with the overall percentage of under 50%, the figure for French people who aged under 20 merely made up for about approximately 30% of the total population. Additionally, there was a downward trend with regard to population when Indians got older, people who aged over 70 only contributed to about 2% of the country. Conversely, there were a lot of elderly people in France with the overall number of somewhere between 10% and 15% whose age were over 70.
Looking more closely at the gender, the gender in India distributed proportionally compared to that of France. In France, there were more women than men, especially when people were over 70, while the figure for males was merely 4% in comparison to approximately 7% that of females.
