Overall, most members were adults aged 18-64, and the most popular categories were adult and children’s fiction. Additionally, the total number of loans by the fiction. library generally increased over the period.
Regarding the pie chart and the table, slightly more than half of the members were adults from 18-64 years old, while those aged 65 and over accounted for 12%. Correspondingly, slightly over half of the loans were to adults, with the highest figures among adult loans seen in adult fiction and non-fiction (38% and 13%, respectively). Meanwhile, young adults aged 13-17 made up 15% of the members, yet the genre targeted at this age group represented only 2% of the loans. In contrast, although children comprised just around one-fifth of the members, they contributed to nearly half of the library’s loans. Specifically, this cohort primarily borrowed children’s fiction, accounting for 38% of the loans, followed by non-fiction at 6%.
Turning to the total number of loans, approximately 16,000 were made in 2007, after which the number rose gradually to roughly 22,000 by 2011. Subsequently, it decreased continuously to around 18,000 in 2013, although by 2016, that had recovered and reached approximately 23,000, which was the highest point during the given period.
