At first glance, paying a trip to foreign countries is the most common reason for people to learn an extra language. In addition, almost all additional language learners would rather study it by themself.
Regarding reasons why an extra language is learned, travel accounts for 30% of residents, followed by that of persons who socialize on social media, at around 20%. Moreover, there is almost 15% of citizens learn one more language due to the wish to improve their communication. Additionally, the percentage of exploring different cultures is superior to that of expanding social circle, making up 13% with 11%. Finally, having an additional life skill is the least popular reason for learners, at nearly 10%.
In terms of some favourite style of learning a new language, 45% persons who were surveyed said that they choose to use self-access resources. Additionally, there are 30% of learners who select to take a formal learning program and that data is 5% higher than the figure for living or studying abroad which is 25% of learners
