The pie charts show waste disposed broken down into nine different categories in a specific state in two separate years, namely 1960 and 2011.
Overall, all categories of waste disposal witnessed an upward trend except for textiles, paper, and other categories. Additionally,the percentage of green waste and glass didn’t change over the given period.
Looking into more details, the waste disposal of plastic and paper indicated the biggest change. Plastic constituted 8% of the total in 1960. After which, it mushroomed to just under a fifth (18%) in 2011.Turning to paper, it started at a quarter (25%). Then it collapsed, comprising 15% in 2011. 4% of waste disposal belonged to wood. Afterwards, it rose slightly to 8%.Initially the food of waste disposal stood at 12%.Then it grew making up 21%.Metal of the total was responsible for 8% in 1960.After which it increased modestly by 1% in 2011.The rate of wasting textil began at just under a fifth(17%).Then it slumped comprising 11% in 2011.Finally,other categories of wasting amounted to 12%.After which it dropped by 8% in 2011.
