The line chart illustrates how much dairy goods (milk, cheese, butter and milk powder) were produced in the top three manufactured nations in 2012.
Overall, the EU produced milk and cheese the most while the contrast was true for the United States and Brazil respectively. Meanwhile, India manufactured the highest number of butter and the opposite was shown in the United States. It is noticeable that China produced the most milk powder while the EU was the lowest.
Looking first at two types of production which the EU took the lead, the figure for milk produced in the EU was 142,970 Metric tons (MT), which was higher than that in India and the United States, at 127,000 MT and 90,038 MT respectively. In addition, the EU manufactured about 7120 MT of cheese while the United States produced just 4,925 MT, which was seven times higher than that in Brazil, at 700 MT of cheese.
Turning to the remaining production, the amount of butter produced in India was 4,500 MT, being 2 times as high as that in the EU and nearly 6 times higher than that in the United States. China initiated the amount of milk powder manufactured, at 1200 MT, followed by New Zealand at 1,110 MT and the EU at 770 MT.
