The charts report information on the ages of the populations in Yemen and Italy in 2000 and provide predictions for 2050.
Overall, 15-59 age groups in both two countries account for large proportion, Yemen is predicted to undergo a significant growth in this group while Italy 60 onwards age group will soar in Italy.
Regarding Yemen, 15-59 age group in this country will experience sharply increase, from 46.3% to 57.3% by 2050, remain the first position. 0-14 age groups closely followed, at 50.1% by 2000. This number will decline to 37% by 2050. People who turned 60 onward account the least contribution, 3.6% and then slightly increase to 5.7% by 2050.
Italy, on the other hand, report a declining in 15-59 age group, plummet from 61.6% to 46.2% after 50 years. Similarly, 0-14 age group witness the same pattern but with smaller extent, from 14.3% to 11.5% by 2050. In contrast, 60+ years is the only group which is projected to show increase, at 24.1% by 2000, this number will nearly double by 2050, approximately 46.2%.
