The bar graphs represent the generation of electricity in the United States by utilizing renewable and non-renewable energy sources in the years 2009 and 2019.
In the year 2009, the major source of generating electricity was coal, which reached an all-time high in the graph at 1756, which however was reduced to 966 by the year 2019. The second major contributor was the natural gas, at 921 billion kilowatt-hours, which was subsequently increased by approximately 46%, in a decade. The nuclear energy source comes in the third position, which is constant in both the year, because of its usage being at an equilibrium.
Renewable energy resources comprises of solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, plant/animal matter, and lastly Hydroelectric energy. The renewable energy source with the most significant change in a decade is the wind energy source, whose utilization was raised by three times. Meanwhile, the other energy sources stays at a constant state, except solar energy.
