The charts present data on how water is used for 3 particular purposes (agriculture, domestic, and industry) worldwide and in 4 selected countries (China, Canada, India and New Zealand) in 2000.
Overall, it is easy to see that the vast majority of was water was used for agriculture rather than other purposes. Also, the patterns of China utilization of water was much closer to the patterns of worldwide water use with almost the same proportions.
India was the number one user of water for agricultural targets with a hefty 92% as opposed to Canada, which spent a modest 8% of water on it. Next came China with base water used for agriculture, although it was nowhere near as Indian ones, while China and India utilized water mostly for agriculture, Zealand Canada spent 80% four-fifths of water on industry. Zealand is the only country that used water equally for agriculture and domestic use, making up 44% and 46% respectively.
Turning to pie chart, it is clearly seen that a most significant majority amount of water was used for agriculture (70%). The remaining categories such as which was triple as much as the amount used for industrial purposes. The remaining category, domestic use, followed behind with a 8%, meaning that the least amount of water was spent on it.
