Overall, people were spending more time in educating themselves as their salaries rose. A higher income was more effective in motivating the citizens to study, than the government support.

On one hand, among the developing countries mentioned, Bangladesh has the third highest government spending on education, yet still has the lowest time spent on education along with lowest income. China and South Africa has 7 and 10 average years spent on education along with salaries of 10,000 and 11,000 US dollars, respectively, with South Africa having the highest government spending on education with a staggering 17% approximately.

The developed countries, Ireland and Switzerland on the other hand, have 12 to 13 years of average studies, along with high salaries of 49,000 and 57,000 US dollars with Switzerland having the highest salary and being the most educated.
