Turning to the bar chart, gardening and bathroom usage combined were responsible for more than half of water usage at home, accounting for 28% and 27%, respectively. A fifth of total water was used to wash clothes, while the figures for toilets was lower at 15%. Kitchens used only 10% of total water consumption for residential purposes.
