Overall, while bathroom and kitchen show a slight rise across the 20 years, toilets, garden, washing experienced decline.
In 1988, water consumption for bathroom had nearly one-fourth of the overall share and this is set to increase to 28% in 2008. Kitchen was the smallest slice in 1988, however in 2008 it became the biggest usage of the residential water with 14% rise.
Garden was one of the important reason for using water, but it became least significant figure with a loss of 13%, from 20% to 7%. Water for washing compared to other categories had a largest percentage of water using in 1988, then it fell to 22%. The proportion of toilets was 18% and then declined in 2008, however it was twice as much as kitchen, 14% and 7% respectively.
