The three pie charts elucidate the intake of sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar by USA people at different eating times. The unit of measurement is in percentage.
Overall, as per observation, the proportion of sodium as well as saturated fat is higher at dinner time. However, the proportion of added sugar is higher when individuals prefer having snacks. Additionally, in breakfast time, a very small percentage of sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar is consumed.
Sodium is mostly consumed at dinner time, accounting for almost 50%. However, the intake at the time of breakfast and snacks remained the same, up to 14%. Similarly, saturated fat is consumed highest at dinner time and lowest at breakfast time. The fat intake at the time of lunch is almost a quarter of the overall proportion.
The added sugar is prevalently consumed in snacks, with the highest proportion of 42%. In contrast, it is less consumed in breakfast time, with only 16%. The consumption in lunch and dinner remained almost similar, with a difference of 3%.
As per the observation, sugar intake is maximum at snack time period; conversely, for dinner, the sodium and saturated fat intake are prominent.
