The pie charts illustrate the proportion of daily meals containing three kind of nutrients (sodium, saturated fat and added sugar) in the USA, which could results in poor health if consumed excessively.
Overall, both sodium and saturated fat constitute the major portion of dinner, whereas added sugar is predominant in snacks. Regarding breakfast, all three nutrients are consumed almost in similar percentage.
Sodium and saturated fat are present in higher amount in dinner accounted for 43% and 37%, respectively. On the other hand, added sugar comprised 23% of dinner. Almost similar amount of nutrients are found in breakfast where the amount of sodium is 14% and saturated fat and added sugar are 16%.
Among the three nutrients, the consumption rate of sodium is more in lunch which is 29%, followed by added sugar which is 26% whereas least amount is added sugar of 19%. Conversely, added sugar is significantly higher in snacks than other two nutrients.
