The bar chart shows the number of bookings for one leisure center in 2018 and 2022, while the pie chart illustrates the share of all bookings by different times of the day in 2022.
From an overall perspective, it’s clear that the count of bookings increased in all categories, whereas live music experienced a decline and yoga & fitness remained stable over the period. Notably, live music was popular activity but it experienced the most significant drop, being overtaken by dance groups. The largest proportion of booking occurred between 18:00 and 21:00, while the lowest was recorded between 09:00 and 12:00.
Several activities showed clear growth in the number of bookings. The figure for the dance groups, in 2018, accounted for 25 visits, but it became the most popular reaching approximately 27 bookings. Starting with 10 bookings, language class became more popular in the second year increasing to 25 visits. Other groups, book club, quizzes started at the relatively same figure, 5-6 visits, but exhibited growth of different rates to around 17, 13, and 20 bookings, respectively in 2022.
By contrast, the remaining activities followed different trends. Approximately 27 bookings were made for live music category in the first year, later this figure dropped by approximately 20 visits making it the least popular option. On the other hand, yoga & fitness remained stable in both years at roughly 15 visits.
Regarding the share of bookings by different times of the day, 45% of people booked leisure center activities in the evening (18:00 – 21:00), as opposed to 25% of those who booked at 15:00 – 18:00. The third popular day for bookings was early afternoon (12:00 – 15:00) constituting 16%. The figures for other time ranges- 06:00 – 09:00 and 09:00 – 12:00- were smaller, accounting for 9% and 5%, respectively.
