The charts show how many households had electrical appliances and how much time people spent on housework in one country from 1920 to 2019.
Overall, the ownership of all three appliances increased during the period, while the number of hours spent on housework went down. The refrigerator and vacuum cleaner became almost common in every home by the end of the period.
In the 1920 percentage of washing mashine was 40%, percentage of refrigarator was at 0%, whereas vaccum cleaner was at around 30%. In the 1940 washing mashine was at point of 60, while refrigerator had increased enourmously almost to 55 and vaccum cleaner was at 50. By the 1960 refrigerator had significant increase to 90%, whereas washing mashine and vaccum cleaner were at the same point, at 70%. In the 1980 refrigerator reached the peak and was stable until 2019, whilist vaccum cleaner increased to 90% and washing mashine had insignificant decrease to 60%. In the 2000 vaccum cleaner reaced a peak too and was unchanched until 2019, however , washing mashine slowly increased to the 70% and reached approximately 75% in 2019
