Overall, It is clear that the number of Japanese tourist travelling to foreign countries showed gradual increase over the decade. Australia’s shares of the Japanese tourist also market significant growth over the years. A small dip in the shares on the halfway of chart but it keep rises comprehensively.
The number of tourist in 1985 was around four and a half million which is lowest of 10 years. The numbers go up from here, every year recorded an increment of nearly 1 million. There was no significant dip in the numbers which is why year 1995 estimated the tourist around 16 million.
In comparison, Australia’s shares of the Japanese tourist market recorded amazing decade in terms of growing numbers. The whole share was around 2 percent in 1985 which climbs to around 4.5% in 1989. A small dip in 1990, where market share decrese to nearly 4%. After that, it showed gradual increment in the shares during the years 1991 to 1995 which estimates the overall share around 6%.
