The bar chart provides information about recorded types of transportation in use in one of the European countries in 1996 and 2006
Overall, Private cars dominate the chart, whereas buses are the least common means of transport in the country. Meanwhile, private cars and other types24 of vehicles saw a sharp increase, while the usage of lorries and motorcycles decreased negligibly. Throughout the period, the number of buses remained stable, which sets this apart from the rest
Starting with increases, the reliance on private cars went up noticeably from 19 million to 24 million in 2006. Although other types of transport witnessed the same pattern of change, albeit with smaller numbers, as private cars did, rising from 1.2 million to about 2 million, passenger preference for buses remained constant at nearly 100 thousand in the final year.
In contrast, the figures for lorries and motorcycles underwent a marginal contraction. The preference for lorries went down from around 500 thousand to approximately 400 thousand; on the other hand, motorcycles from one million to roughly 600 thousand.
