The bar graphs provide an overview of the average weekly working hours in the industrial sector for workers in France, Denmark, Sweden, and the UK in 2002.
Overall, the data shows that the majority of workers in these countries worked between 36-40 hours per week, with the exception of France, where the 31-35 hour range was more common. Additionally, the number of workers who worked less than 14 hours or more than 50 hours per week was generally low, except for the UK.
In the UK, 50% of workers reported working between 36-40 hours per week, making it the most popular range, while in France, the 31-35 hour range was the most common. Furthermore, the proportion of workers in the UK increased as the weekly working hours increased, with around 10% working less than 35 hours and 15-20% working more than 40 hours. In France, working 36-40 hours per week was the second most popular, followed by 46-50 hours.
In Denmark, nearly three-quarters of workers reported working 36-40 hours per week, while in Sweden, 80% of workers reported the same. Additionally, no more than 10% of workers in both countries reported working less than 30 hours or more than 41 hours per week.
