The graphs illustrate the percentage of both genders aged from 5 to 14 who participated in organised cultural events and sport in Australia in 2003.
Overall, it is obvious from the given diagrams that overwhelming majority of attendees in cultural occasions are girls, except musical appliance which was prevalent among boys. However, in case of sport activities, boys have shown superiority over girls.
At first glance, it could be clarified that drama and singing shown almost similar rate of male participants which was around 3% and in terms of girls, drama, was lower by approximately 0.5% from singing, which constituted 5%. Next the most popular activity was dancing among girls in 2003 which made up just above 25 percent while boys’ enrollment , consisted of the least proportion of cultural activities, that was around 3%. In contrast, more male attended to playing musical instrument and amounted to slight above 15%, whereas proportion of female participants accounted for just under 10%.
It is notable from second bar chart, sport activities, favored by boys, made majority of attendees at close to 70% while nearly 54% of girls enrolled in this field.
