The pie chart illustrates a total of energy generated from various sources in percentage from 1990, 2020, and 2040. Furthermore, the sources diverse between coal, gas, nuclear, renewables, and others.
Overall, in 1990, coal was considered the main source of energy. While, in 2020, coal slightly declined and was replaced with gas. Moreover, in 2040, it’s predicted that renewables will increase rapidly.
To begin with, during 1990, coal played a crucial role in making energy, with 42% in total. It was followed by coal with 25%, regarding the difference, it almost reached about 50%. However, the lowest one with only 8% came from other sources. Moving on to 2020, gas managed to outweigh the use of coal for energy, with 30% compared to 28%. Nevertheless, other sources remained the lowest, but this time with 10%.
Forecasting the future life, about the year of 2040, renewables are predicted to become the main sources of energy, with 40%. Nonetheless, the nuclear energy will have the same percentage as other energy sources. In addition, there won’t be any significant difference between coal and gas which will reach about 18% and 22%.
