The table illustrates the availability of electronic equipments such as Television, Computer, Mobile phone, Tablet, DVD player, Smart speaker, and Landline telephone at home from the year 2000 to 2020.
Overall, majority of devices popularity have increased over the years except Landline telephone and DVD player. Mobile phone and Television have become more common by the year 2020 but most significant increase can be seen in popularity of Tablets.
Television was already most common item in the year 2000 at 90% and even later on holds its position at 95%, in year 2020. While Smart speaker shows an incradible rise at 40% from 0% over the years but Computer was at 45% in 2000 and climbed upto 80% in the year 2020.
The most dramatic hype was around Mobile phone and Tablets icreased around 60% and 70% respectively. In contrast, the DVD player usage was droped by 25% in 2020, so it become 35% in 2020 from 60%. While the most decrease is observed in Landline Telephone from 80% to only 25% in 2020.
