The bar graphs provide information on the ages of males and females when they get married in one country in 1996 and 2008 and by age. Overall, in both years, the most married age group was 25-29 and it shows that the female percentage was higher than the male one. However, the age group of 16 to 19 represented the least age of getting married with females getting married by only around 1%.
In the year 1996, the graph shows that starting from the age of 16 to 29, the female marriage rate kept on increasing consistently, it used to be under 2% and kept increasing until it reached its peak of just under 12%. Additionally, from the age of 29 to 44, the marriage rate decreased dramatically until it reached only 2%. On the other hand, we can see that the male marriage rate started increasing slightly from the age of 20 to 29 to reach the peak of just above 8%. Furthermore, from 29 to 34 it remained the same, and then it started decreasing until it reached just under 6%.
In 2008, the marriage rate of females kept on increasing starting from 16 to 29 until it reached the peak of just under 12%. In contrast, from 29 to 44 it gradually decreased until reaching above 2%. However, for the male marriage rate beginning from 20 to 34 it increased substantially until reaching the peak of just under 12%, moreover, from 34 to 44 the marriage rate decreased gradually until it reached just over 6%.
