2016. The percentage of car users increased from 5% in 2000 to 15% in 2016, which was 10% more than the previous figure.
At the beginning of the period, bus made up 25 percent of all transportation modes in Bangladesh, making them the second highest mode of transport. Moreover, in 2016 this estimate dropped to ten percent. The use of bike also contracted slightly, rolling off from 15 percent at the beginning to 10 percent at the end.
