The pie charts illustrate the figure for time working adults spent on different activities in a country in 1958 and 2008.
In general, it is clear that there were different changes in the percentage of time employees spent on some activities, especially, the proportion of working time was the highest in both two years.
To begin with, in 1958, the percentage of working and sleeping time which workers spent their time on were subequal to 33%. At the same time, they consumed 19% of their time going out with friends or family while working adults just used 8% of their time for relaxing at home. Next, the figure for travel to work was 2%, and other interests or playing sports had a higher figure with 6%.
Moving to the remaining pie chart, in 2008, the proportion of working time increased by 9%, however, sleeping’s figure dropped to 25%. In the same year, the percentage of traveling to work and relaxing at home rose by about 5% when other interests or playing sports just increased by 2%. Finally, going out with family’s percentage dropped and had the lowest figure with 6%.
