The charts provide information about percentage of time working adults on different activities in particular country in 1958 and 2008.
Overall, the percentage of time that working adults spent on various activities increased in both years , except going out (with friends / family) and sleeping. While the upward trend was seen in working activity, the downward trend was observed in going out.
To begin with, the top percentage of activities was working accounting for a third (33%) in 1958. The second highest percentage was sleeping , with a difference of only one per cent (32%). While the percentage of going out was an almost two times smaller than working, the other three activities was nearly the same made up ( 8%,6%,2%) respectively.
Within a time span of 50 years, the largest percentage was still working section, growing by 9% (42%). Whereas the percentage of going out dramatically declined made up 6%, sleeping activity showed slight drop accounted for 25%. Relaxing at home was next proportion which showed great growth about 5 per cent (13%). Travel to work depicts equal percentage as other interests which was 8%.
