The presented pie charts compare and contrast the number of participants engaged in different public charities, in terms of percentage, over the course of 6 years, commencing from 2008. Overall, it is evident that the proportion of volunteers joining the Environmental, Sport, and Health Care organizations witnessed an upward trend throughout the period, while the opposite is obviously true for that of Art, Educational, and Others charity events.
To begin with, although being the highest figure in 2008 with 24%, the volunteers’ proportion of Educational events then considerably shrinked to 17% within the next 6 years, no longer prominent on the chart. Simultaneously, the downward situation in the number of volunteers was also experienced by Art and Others charities, which both showed a decline of 6% compared to the initial 18% for the former and 15% for the latter in 2008.
Conversely, the percentage of participants in Environmental charities accounted for 21% in 2008, then surged to 29% in the following 6 years, taking the leading position at the end of the period. Similarly, Sport statistics saw a rise of 10%, reaching 25% in 2014 on the number of participants. Despite a mere escalation of 1%, Health Care events still persisted to be the lowest portion between 2008 and 2014.
