The bar graphs illustrate the total number of people working in three different sectors across four countries from different continents between the years 1980 and 2010.
It is depicted that in the year 1980, the secondary sector was the most dominant as compared to the other two sectors. Germany is the country that adopted the industry segment from the start of 1980, having 60% of people working in it, followed by Japan and the USA, which share an equal proportion of the working population with just over 50% and less than 55% for the financial year 1980. Lastly, China has the lowest percentage among all three countries, having just 40%, which is comparatively 20% and 13% lower than Germany and Japan, USA respectively. Countries except Japan, have equal sharing in their tertiary sector with just over 50%, and lower than 40% for Japan. China is the only country that has the highest proportion in the primary sector slightly above 70%
Furthermore, with the advancement in each sector, the data has fluctuated in the year 2010. The secondary sector of Japan and Germany has escalated substantially to 80% compared to 1980 data. However, other sectors have declined drastically. The USA has 70% of people working in the industry which slight increase from 1980.
