The bar charts compare the data of men and women aged 60 – 64 being employed in four countries, such as Australia, Japan, USA and Belgium between 1970 and 2000. According to the data, the employment rate of men in 1970 was higher than the year 2000, whereas, woman employment rate had a slight change in both years.
Amongst all four countries, Japan was the most popular country to work for men both in 1970 and 2000. with 84% and 76% respectively. On the other hand, Belgium had the employment rate 79% in 1970 and then plunged to 19% in 2000. Australian and American men were employed 74% and 73% in 1970 and then experienced a moderate drop in 2000 to 47% and 55%.
Regarding to women data, it was cleary seen that Belgium working place was the least popular for women. There were only 8% in 1970 and 7% in 2000. Converstly, Japan remained the most popular country for work, with 43% in 1970 and falled to 40% in 2000. Surprisingly, American women had the data slightly less than Japanese woman which is 38% and 36% in 1970 and 2000. Lastly, there were 18% of women work in Australia in 1970 and 19% in 2000.
