The bar charts depict the performance of a bus company in terms of punctuality, comparing the goal and the real outcome, and the number of complaints per thousand passenger’s journeys.
Overall, there was a massive discrepancy in the actual arrival time and the aimed arrival time in 2000. Again, the number of complaints in proportion to passengers’ journeys gradually rose over the years, with a fluctuation in 2001.
First of all, the company noticed only a half to one percent difference in their literal arrival time and their targeted arrival time in 1999, 2001 and 2002. In 2000, however, only 82% of buses arrived on time, which is a staggering 4% less than their aimed arrival time. Nevertheless, the company succeeded in having buses reach their destinations on time more than their target in 2003.
In the second bar chart, it is evident that the number of complaints escalated dramatically from about 70 in 1999 to a hundred in 2000. Nonetheless, it took a moderate dive to nearly 85 in the following year. Afterwards, it continued climbing steadily and reached 120 in 2003.
