The pie charts provide information about the percentage of tourists staying in four different types of accommodations over three separate years.
Overall, it is clear that the proportion of vacationers changed significantly over the period. Staying with family and camping accommodation users’ proportion experienced a downward trend, while others saw an upward trend. The rented apartment experienced the biggest change, despite being lowest.
With regard to increasing trends, the share of holidaymakers preferred rented apartment accounted for 7% initially and then rose noticeably to 22% after two decades. Similarly, 15% of vacationers chose staying at hotels in 1988. 10 years later, their percentage went up to 22% and remained the same until the end.
As for the remaining trends, the figure for people who are on vacation made up 52% in 1988, in terms of staying with family and their proportion grew slightly by 2 percentage points in 1998. However, in 2008, this figure declined to 44%, despite being the highest at the beginning. Moreover, vacationers who stayed in camping decreased from initial 26% to 13% in 1998. After a decade, their proportion continued dropping moderately by 1% .
