Overall, it can be clearly seen that the highest proportion people’s total spending on different commodities and services which were food in 1958 and housing in 2008. Whereas Travel or transport and entertainment remained the lowest of people’s total spending.
To begin with, in 1958 people’s spending on food reached the big amount at 32% compared by 2008, food had decreased at 12%. Meanwhile, housing experienced at 22% in 1958, however in 2008 housing had increased slowly at 32%.
On the other hand, the percentage of people’s total in spending on luxury goods mentioned at 7% in 1958, but it has been increased in 2008 until 12%. Afterwards travel or transport reached at 8%. In 1958 people’s spending on entertainment at 13%, although in 2008 it has been decreased until 6%.
