The pie charts illustrate the journey from the United Kingdom to Spain of various age groups over a 20-year period, between 1983 and 2003.
Overall, the percentage of age groups visiting the UK and Spain increased over the period shown, except for those aged 25-54. Notably, despite a significant decline, the trip was most attracted to people aged from 35 to 54 years old.
Regarding the increasing categories, over one-fifth of the oldest group participated in this journey in the first year of the given period, after which their visits increased to 26%. This was followed by the youth, but to a lesser extent, beginning at precisely one-tenth, after which their bookings rose to 12% in 2003. Yet only 4% went by the 16 to 24 year-olds in the beginning, Spain increased in popularity, comprising 15%, representing the most significant growth.
Concerning the other age groups, a half of old people in their forties visited Spain, despite the moderate decline to 35%, it remained the largest proportion. The year 1983 witnessed around 20% of adults travelling Spain, after that a gradual drop by 8% visited them in the last year of the period, which showed an identical rate in percentage of the youngest bracket.
