The pie chart illustrates the percentage of British students at a college in England who can master other languages in addition to English in 2 years, 2000 and 2010.
At first glance, it is readily obvious that the figure for students who could only speak English was highest while the proportion of graduates speaking German only was lowest between 10 years.
It can be seen that the percentage of students speaking only one language accounted for the most significant figure in 2000 and 2010, with 30% and 35%, respectively. And the statistics for graduates who could master another language in addition to mentioned language comprised a fourth in 2000 and a fifth in 2010.
In term of other languages, students who were able to speak two languages went up from 10% to 15% over the period shown. Moreover, the data for graduates who could speak French, Spanish and German had a big difference in 2000 with 15%, 20% and 10%, respectively. And in 2010, the figure for 3 languages mentioned was equal with just 10%.
