Overall, no other language was the most common language category in both years, while two other languages and German were the least common in 2000. German only, French only, and Spanish were the least spoken languages, with equal percentages for each in 2010. Another language, two other languages, no other language and French only experienced a slight increase over the period. In contrast, Spanish was the only language to decrease over the period.
Another language accounted for the largest proportion in 2000, at 30%, and then rose to 35% in 2010, whereas two other languages and German represented the smallest proportions, each at 10% in 2000. However, in 2010, two other languages increased to 15%, while German remained unchanged at 10% in both years.
Regarding the remaining languages, German only, French only, and Spanish accounted for equal shares, each accounting for 10% in 2010. Spanish decreased significantly from 20% in 2000 to 10% in 2010. In addition, the share of French also declined considerably from 15% in 2000 to 10% in 2010.
