It’s clearly evident that most of the total oil resources in the world were held in the Middle East representing 56.52 percent of the resources. Canda occupied a second place with a quiet difference as it compromised 14.84 percent. Other areas showed much less contribution to the world’s total oil proportion beginning with Central and South America with 8.12 percent, ending with Australia and New Zealand that formed the lowest oil resources of all areas around the world averaged only 0.30 percent.
According to the given data, Asia, United States and Western Europe occupied the first thee places among all regions in regards to the world’s total annual oil consumption by 26.21, 25.48, 19.24 percent respectively.
Overall, Middle East and Canda which showed much lower percentage of annual consumption that it given oil resources. Implying that the oil resources and oil consumption were not directly proportional, as the, expect for Australia and New Zealand.
