Overall, it is clear that a Master’s degree in science remained the most common qualification in both years. The fraction of Ph.D increased while First Degree decreased. Besides, the percentage of Master Art rose slightly. Furthermore, Ph.D science rose quickly, while First Degree in art fell significantly.
In 1990, Master Degree in Science was the highest qualification at 29%, while Ph.D art was the least popular at only 2%. Additionally, Master’s degree in Art followed at 21%, and 20% at First Degree in Science. Moreover, First degree in Art is lower by nearly one-third compared to Master degree in Science at 15%. Ph.D in Science qualifications were less common, with just 12%.
In 2010, Ph.D in Science was the most common qualification at 30%, which increased sharply compared with 1990. Besides, Master degrees in Science and Art followed at 29% and 23%, respectively. First Degree in Science saw a steady drop from 20% to 11%. Ph.D and First Degree in Art qualifications were the least popular at just 5% and 2%.
