Overall, it can be clearly seen that success at work made people of both ages the happiest, nevertheless, different aspects affecting the happiness index also varied among these two.
A vast majority of both younger and older individuals agree that being successful in their careers offers them the most joy at 31 and 32 percent respectively. Nearly a quarter of people in both groups mentioned that doing hobbies is the second component contributing greatly to their happiness level.
On the other hand, teenagers consider having a good physical appearance to be highly important: 18% of them say it provides them the most pleasure.This is accompanied by 15 percent who claim that travel makes them happy. Otherwise, elderly people did not mention any of these two causes. Instead, exactly a fifth of older people believe financial security is the most significant component in their satisfaction, and 14 percent say they are the most contended while they are with their families.
