The charts illustrate the turnover of automobiles between 2015 and 2019 by three different brands (Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai) and the percentage of cars sold by type.
From an overall perspective, it is evident that the revenue from cars sold by Toyota showed an upward trend, whereas a reverse pattern could be seen in the figure for two remaining brands. In addition, the proportion of automobiles sold by MPV was the highest, while the figure for Sedan was the lowest.
In 2015, the sales of four-wheel vehicles by Hyundai captured the pole position, at over 3 billion dollars. The runner-up position was taken by the data on car sales by Honda, at merely 2 billion dollars. However, Toyota revenue from car sales was the lowest, at just below 1 billion dollars. From 2016 to 2019, there was a downward trend in the sales of cars by Hyundai and Honda and it was accounted for at just over 2 billion dollars and less than 2 billion dollars, respectively, in the final year. In contrast, the turnover of cars by Toyota increased dramatically and hit the highest point at about 3 billion dollars in 2019.
The percentage of cars sold by MPV made up for the largest, at 35%. The percentage of cars sold by SUV, Sportscars, and Hatchback City Car only ranged from 10% to 27%. The remaining car segments, Sedan was the least significant portion, at just 3%.
