Overall, Rolex was the most dominant company by far throughout the 2 years study period, and in fact, they increased their share while others have declined.
The three biggest wristwatch manufacturers in 2020 were Rolex, Omega, and Cartier, with 39.5%, 15.6%, and 14.5%, respectively. However, while Rolex increased its share to almost half, Omega saw a notable decrease to 12.7%. Despite a minor change of 0.7% to 13.8% in 2021, Cartier replaced Omega as the second-highest brand of watch in 2021.
The remaining three competitors has a tenth of the proportion in 2020 each, but all fell by around 1% in 2021. Among of the three brands, Patek fell the biggest by having 10.3% in 2020 to 8.8% in 2021. While AP being the smallest sharer in 2020 it went to the fourth largest in 2021.
