Depicted in the graphs below, one can see the market share of Swiss watch manufacturers from the years 2020 and 2021.
Overall, it can be understood that Rolex was the major supplier of Swiss watches in both years and also increased its share in the given gap. Behind Rolex, Omega and Cartier are close competitors but Omega lost some of its share. Other brands are behind the aforementioned brands and had almost the same share although all of them experienced a minor decline.
It can be firmly understood that Rolex was the dominant provider in the recorded time, in 2020 Rolex had 39 percent of the market which was increased to 46 percent in 2021 making it the only brand that could widen its proportion of the market. In 2020, Omega and Cartier were weer behind Rolex and a very narrow gap separated the two companies with only around one percent more share compared to Cartier, Omega was controlling 15.6 percent of the market, however the tide shifted in the next year and Omega lost around 3 percent of its share and its second place at the same time and went behind Cartier that also experienced a less notable decline. In 2021 Omega was left with 12.7 percent and Cartier had 13.8 percent of the market in hand.
