The pie charts compares the proportion of watch sales by six different watchmakers in Switzerland in 2020 and 2021.
Overall, Rolex was the most important supplier in both years. Rolex increased its percentage while other watchmakers experienced a decrease.
The three biggest watch seller in 2020 was Rolex Omega and Cartier with the percentages of 39.5%, 15.6% and 14.5 respectively. The next year, the watchmaker that has the most proportion Rolex increase its dominance from 39.5% to 46.7%. However, the other two sellers lost their market shares. Omega and Cartier experienced a decrease by the amount of 2.9% and 0.7% respectively. The other three watchmakers with the smaller percentage were Patek, Longines and AP in both years however in 2021 sellers sorting went straight to opposite in the year of 2020 Patek was the biggest among the three smallest watchmakers, although with next year’s results Patek became last largest brand. In addition, the smallest brand between the small watchmakers in 2020 replaced its location with the Patek. Meanwhile Longines experienced a fall however it protected their sorting, it stayed the same as 2020.
