The pie charts illustrate the proportion of viewers watching various movie genres in a cinema in two different years.
Overall, Action was the most significant supplier by far in both years. Action also decreased its dominance, whilst all other genres added views,except Thriller.
The four most viewed types of film in 2008 were Action,Romance,SciFi and Comedy with 29%,19%,17% and 16% respectively. However whilst Romance, SciFi and Comedy increased its views, Action saw a notable decrease to 23%. Of the four most viewed types, Comedy rise the most, going up from 16% to 21%,thereby replacing SciFi as the third-highest viewed type in 2012.
The remaining two competitors had the lowest views in both years. Despite the lowest figures in 2008, Drama saw an upward trend to 7% in 2012,coming close to Thriller, and trailing by just 1%,considering that in 2008 the gap was 9%. However, Drama remained the smallest viewed type, showing the lowest results overall.
