The diagram given is a report of research done in South Africa in the years 2015/16 in regards to race and ethnicity. It gives incite to leadership positions in the workforce in regards to people’s colour.
To begin with, it is apparent that white people took the majority of top positions in the workforce with a Significant percentage of almost 70%. The rest of the ethnicities took up less than half of the remaining percentage of the pie chart, with people of the African Ethnicity coming second with a significantly lower percentage of 14.30%. Coming third was the Indian population with a slightly lower percentage of 8.60%. The Colored population had almost half of the percentage of Indians with 4.70%. Lastly, with the lowest percentage in the workforce, was the Foreign Nationals with 3.50%.
In conclusion, it is clear that, the workforce had a huge imbalance with one ethnicity taking a huge percentage while the rest shared less than half of the remaining management positions.
