The pie charts show how many world forests are located and how much timber is prepared from their areas. Overall, African forests dominate as the leading numbers of forests, but timber proportions are higher in North America, while European forests are nearly the same in both categories.
Regarding South and North Americas, the former includes 16% forests in the whole world, manufacturing timber products, in which accounts for 23%. Likewise, the latter involves 25% forests and manufactures 30% timber, maintaining a considerable lead in timber proportion among other continents.
As for other parts of the world, Africa where stands out with its more forests than other continents, making up 27%. However, its timber percentages are not as many as other parts of the world. Asia includes 14% forests and timber percentages are just 2% more. Likewise, European forests are 18% in the world and their percentage of timber is just 2% more, following a similar pattern with Asia.
