The pie charts provide data on the division of world forest in five different regions and the percentage of timber in each area.
Overall, it is evident that the highest share of forest is in Africa, while that for wood is in North America.
To begin with the information given in the first chart, Africa comes first. A staggering 27% of forest is in this region with North America, however, accounting for negligibly lower proportion of 25%. This is followed by Europe and South America, where the figures are similar: 18% for the former and 16% for the latter. Additionally, Asia has the lowest figure at 14%.
Turning to the second diagram, the North America is the region with the most timber – 30% and is 7% more compared to South America. With regard to remaining three areas such as Europe, Asia and Africa their timber rate make up one-fifth, 18% and only 9%, respectively.
