The data concerning the waste disposal of one country over a fifty-one year period from 1960 to 2011 are depicted in the provided charts.
Overall, what stands from the pie charts is that although most of waste varied over the period, the figures relating to glass and green waste remained static.
Looking at the details, in the first chart the most significant amounts were thrown away paper ( exactly a quarter) and textiles (about 17%), while food and the other also accounted for the same considerable proportion. The least among all was wood ( approximately 4 %) which was one percent less than glass’s. The remaining figures include plastic, metal (roughly 8 %) and green waste which was just over them.
The shares of food and plastic increased by almost 10% in 2011 whereas the proportions of paper and textiles had dropped dramatically. The percentages of green waste, metal and glass stabilized while wood doubled (about 8%), but the rest one experienced a sharp drop showing around 4%.
