The charts compare the proportions of people from two age groups who purchased concert, cinema and theatre tickets online in Australia, the UK and Malaysia during the first three months of 2006, and also show the most common ways of accessing the internet in these countries.

In addition, desktop computers were the most common means of internet access in all three countries, whereas mobile phones were used the least.
In Australia and the UK, just over half of people aged 25-44 purchased tickets online, compared with slightly lower figures for the 65+ group. By contrast, in Malaysia, older people were more active online buyers, with around 45% of those aged 65 and above purchasing tickets, compared with roughly 40% of the younger group.
Regarding internet access, desktop computers were the dominant method, accounting for approximately 60% of users in Australia and the UK and about 65% in Malaysia. Laptops were the second most popular option in all three countries, while mobile phones were the least commonly used, particularly in Australia
