At the beginning of the period, in 1970, females employed just over than 60%, whereas males exeeded this, at a few less than 80% in Belgium. Interestingly, male and females scored almost the same percentage in USA. Men around 85%, women slightly less than 80%. men’s figure was still higher overall, though it dropped marginally more in Japan and Indonesia.
At the second of the period, in 2000, there was a nationwide strike. While men scored a bit more than 50%, the women couldn’t even reach 10%. Another interesting point is that the male figure was just under twice as high as the female figure in USA, while men and women earned almost equal percentage in Japan. In Indonesia, the male figures were approximately 22% higher than the female figures in both periods.
It is clear that men scored higher percentage than women, among the all countries and time.
